Boro Patchwork Cake Plate
Embrace your inner bohemian goddess and savour your afternoon treats from simply the most stunning dish ever!
Boro is an ancient Japanese tradition where textiles (usually bedding or kimonos) are repeatedly repaired with their signature indigo fabrics; building up layers and stories over time. Each piece becomes unique to the family that own it; in much the same way, each of my plates is unique with different indigo patterns placed randomly on the plate surface.
The plates are fired with a clear glaze and finished in a rim of 22k gold lustre.
Size: They measure approximately 15cm across and 2cm high.
Care: Gentle hand wash, do not place in the microwave.
