A fun, and fulfilling morning spent learning various ceramic decorative techniques and then using them to adorn your own Breakfast Set.
You will be supplied with a mug, side plate and spoon (made by me), already bisque fired and ready to accept your designs. I will demonstrate how to use tissue transfers, underglaze paints and pencils, dimensional accents and bubble glazing.
The scope is endless, underglaze paints can create a soft, watercolour effect or be built up to provide strong, solid blocks of colour. Pencils can be used to create gorgeous line drawings, sketches and fine detail; you can even write a line from your favourite song or poem..
To be held in Studio 227, Salamanca Arts Centre on Sunday 27th August from 10-1:30. All materials are provided and includes final glazing and firing of your pieces, ready for collection in approximately 3 weeks.
Tea, coffee and a delicious morning tea are also provided (please advise of any dietary requirements/intolerances). Wear an old shirt, closed shoes and bring an old towel to wipe your hands on.
Tickets are non-refundable, however they may be transferred to a friend if you are unable to make it.
